Charlie Williams (N.C. Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission) and Hope Lanier (BellSouth) had a bird's eye view of the huge Charlotte Rotary crowd attending our meeting on Sept. 7th when our U.S. Representative Mel Watt spoke to our club.

Mel Watt and Byron Bullard - two gentlemen who remind us that Fred Lowrance's H&H message was about understanding and adherence to values and principles.  Both men meet that criteria.

John Lassiter (Carolina Legal Staffing) and Madine Fails represent two of Charlotte Rotary's finest member-profiles: professionalism and dedication to the job.

Andy Fair (Classical 89.9 WDAV,)  Bobby Cockerham (Charlotte Tractor Company) and Claire Erb (the real force behind our Rotary Club!) were on hand at the check-in table to meet our members and guests and assure that attendance credit was issued.

Jerry Orr (Charlotte-Douglas International Airport top dog) and Wendall White (former City Manager) MUST be smiling over Mel Watt's comments about tax cuts. (AND, the tremendous growth of the Airport!)

Bryon Bullard (frequently referred to in Charlotte Rotary as "one of the world's nicest people") and Thomas Moore (visitor and very talented singer) renew their friendship after the meeting ended.

Jeff Searcy (Otis Elevator Co.) and his guest listen intently as Mel Watt tells us about his 5-country stops in Europe as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives' Judiciary Committee in August.
