Brian Schick and Mac McCarley after luncheon on 2/9/99. Schick joined Charlotte Rotary in 1998 and his classification is mortgage banking. McCarley is City Attorney for the City of Charlotte and joined our Club in 1995. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and serves on our Membership Development Committee.

Gordon Berg (left) and Mike Myers (right) on 2/9/99. Berg, now retired, was head of Foundation for the Carolinas, He joined Charlotte Rotary in 1956 and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Myers, a retired executive of Central Piedmont Community College, joined our Club in 1997 and serves on our Charlotte Reporter Committee.

He was surprised to be greeted in Africans (language of South Africa) by President Ronnie. Bromfield resides from Wilmington, North Carolina. Ronquest, who is Director of The Gold Shop (Regal Castings Pty Ltd) in Durban, presented his Club's pennant containing a picture a mangrove tree and a fiddler crab.

"Pete" Larson, Jr.  Larson joined Charlotte Rotary in 1969. Henderson joined Charlotte Rotary in 1960 and served as president during 1968-1969. His former classification was Trade Associations, Retailing.

Pruett joined in 1984 and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Pound joined in 1948, is a Paul Harris Fellow, and he our Club's current longest perfect attender with 48 years perfect attendance. Thomas joined Charlotte Rotary in 1977 and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

(Left to right): Glenn Clinefelter and Jason "Jay" B. Deyton, Jr. on 2/9/99. Clinefelter joined Charlotte Rotary in 1982 and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He is an avid golfer and has played at many different courses, including St. Andrews in Scotland. Deyton joined our Club in 1982, is Senior Active (former classification Vacuum Cleaning, Mfg.), and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

He serves on our Fellowship and Acquaintance Committee. Mark Norman wife's name is Amy. Jacobson is Director of Social Services for Mecklenburg County and gave an informative speech today.

Hope Lanier and Jack Knight

Hope Lanier and Jack Knight welcome visiting Rotarians and guests with a smile at the sign-in table on 2/9/99. Lanier joined Charlotte Rotary in 1998. She is with BellSouth. Knight joined the Club in 1997 and is an Assistant District Attorney for Mecklenburg County. The sign-in table is one of many duties for which our Sergeant-at-Arms Committee is responsible.

He is current chairman of our Music committee. Chadwick joined our Club in 1983. He is a retired Presbyterian minister  and is greatly appreciated in Charlotte Rotary for his beautiful baritone voice. Today he led the Club in singing "Let Me Call You

Jacobsen spoke today about the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services of which he is Director. Brown, an attorney, joined Charlotte Rotary in 1996 and currently serves on our Program Committee. Boyd joined in 1979 and is Senior Active. He directs the Bethlehem Center in Charlotte. King joined our Club in 1998 and is with the Kennedy Charter School.
