Worth Williamson and Warren Ludlam

Charlotte Rotary President Worth Williamson (Edmiston Investing & Consulting Group) accepts cruise slippers in the shape of man eating sharks from Warren Ludlam (Cruise Holidays of Charlotte) who was one of our four outstanding and very entertaining members who took to the mic to tell us all "How I Got Where I'm At!"

George McBain, George Thompson and Mary-Stuart Brooks

George McBain (Central Carolinas Bank), George Thompson (Providence United Methodist Church) and Mary-Stuart Brooks (Mecklenburg Ministries) were seated at one end of our head table and had the bird's eye view of our membership laughing hard at the "bribes" presented to our president by our speakers.

Warren Ludlam, John Tabor, Harry Creemers and Worth Williamson

Warren Ludlam, John Tabor (U. S. Mortgage Group), Harry Creemers (Mint Museum of Art) and Worth Williamson chuckle at some of the outrageous comments made by our panel of speakers.  Charlotte Rotary brings out the best in us all ...

John Tabor and Frank Timberlake

John Tabor reports on his journey from birth 'til now! Frank Timberlake served as our eminent emcee, introducing each of our four speakers.

George McBain

George McBain advises us that his mother - a former English teacher - sternly reminded him that the laws of English grammar dictate that we change the name of our program from "How I Got Where I'm At" to something a bit more poetic.  And certainly more grammatically correct!

George Thompson

George Thompson presented our president with a hotel spoon that was specially polished (with a hotel napkin right at the podium). (We hear hotel security will be keeping a watchful eye on Rev. Thompson from now on ... and is certainly checking into the source of the silver chalice used at Providence United Methodist Church!!!)

Pam Syfert, Darrel Stephens and Powell Majors

Pam Syfert (our city's top banana), Chief of Police Darrel Stephens and Powell Majors (one of the the most amazingly astute members in our club) make an impressive trio.

Herb Harriss

Herb Harriss (Baxter-Harriss Co.) greets a visiting Rotarian in typical Charlotte Rotary fashion --- all smiles and chit-chat to make our guests feel welcome.

Ronnie Pruett, Leroy Mayne and George McBain

Former Charlotte Rotary president Ronnie Pruett (Ronnie A. Pruett, Attorney At Law), Leroy Mayne (Mecklenburg County Council Boy Scouts of America) and George McBain talk over our upcoming Habitat For Humanity project scheduled for March and April of this year.

Ken Poe and Bob Brietz

Ken Poe (Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service) and Bob Brietz (Marion Bass Securities Corp.) sit around visiting and enjoying Rotary camaraderie.
