|
Monday, October 5, 2009 |
In
tribute to police, fire, medic and sheriff’s Office personnel, the
Rotary Club of Charlotte will raise scholarship monies for their
children through the seventh annual Rotary Scholarship Golf Classic, to
be held on Monday, October 5th, 2009 at Cedarwood Country Club, in
Charlotte. Honorary
Co-Chairs include Police Chief Rodney Monroe, Fire Chief Jon Hannan,
Sheriff Chipp Bailey and MEDIC Director Joe Penner.
Registration and practice begins at 11:00. The captain's choice format
begins with a shotgun start at noon. "It is expected to be a
sold-out event," says Charlotte Rotary member and tournament chair, Alan
Adler.
The tournament includes lunch, reception, dinner, gift bags and
mulligans; in addition there will be silent and live auctions and prizes
galore. Members of all four public safety departments will be at the
tournament as players and volunteers.
Individuals, businesses and organizations in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg
area can join this “classic” event by becoming a sponsor, hosting a hole
or donating prizes for raffle and auction. Entitlement packages range
from, $10,000 for a gold sponsorship to $750 for a Tee Sign Sponsorship
with many levels in between. Included with sponsorships are slots for
golfers/foursomes, banners, ad journal advertisements, hole-signage,
special gifts, and recognition from the podium.
